PM Modi arrives in Washington with grand welcome by Indian diaspora; to hold bilateral meet with Donald Trump

PTC News Desk: After concluding historic France visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the US on Wednesday (local time) for a two-day visit. His visit to the US comes at the invitation of US President Donald Trump.


India's Ambassador to the US, Vinay Mohan Kwatra and other officials welcomed PM Modi at the airport.

This will be PM Modi's first visit to the United States after Donald Trump assumed office for the second term. During his visit, PM Modi will hold a meeting with US President Trump.

During the visit, PM Modi is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with US President Donald Trump on Thursday, February 13. The leaders are expected to hold talks over wide range of topics including trade, defence, security and strategic cooperation. 

Upon his landing, PM Modi shared a tweet and said that he was looking forward to meeting President Trump, to further strengthen India-US partnership.

"Landed in Washington DC a short while ago. Looking forward to meeting @POTUS Donald Trump and building upon the India-USA Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership. Our nations will keep working closely for the benefit of our people and for a better future for our planet," the PM wrote on X.
