From September 21 to 23, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in the US for the fourth Quad Leaders' Summit. In addition, the prime minister will speak at a gathering held in New York at the UN General Assembly.

PM Modi to visit US for Quad summit, address UN General Assembly from September 21-23

PTC News Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit the United States from September 21-23, 2024, where he will attend the fourth Quad Leaders’ Summit and deliver an address at the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The trip will focus on strengthening regional and global partnerships.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs, PM Modi will participate in the Quad meeting hosted by U.S. President Joe Biden in Wilmington, Delaware. The Quad, comprising India, the U.S., Japan, and Australia, aims to strengthen cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region. During the summit, leaders will review progress made over the past year and set goals for the coming year to assist Indo-Pacific countries in achieving their development aspirations. India is slated to host the next Quad Summit.


On September 23, PM Modi will address the ‘Summit of the Future’ at the United Nations General Assembly in New York. This event will bring together several world leaders to discuss key global challenges. Additionally, the Prime Minister is expected to engage in bilateral meetings with multiple heads of state to discuss matters of mutual interest.

While in New York, PM Modi will also address the Indian community on September 22 and meet with CEOs of leading U.S.-based companies. These discussions will aim to promote collaboration in advanced areas like artificial intelligence, quantum computing, semiconductors, and biotechnology.

The visit will also include interactions with thought leaders and stakeholders involved in strengthening India-U.S. relations across various sectors.
