PM Modi meets Diljit Dosanjh, calls him 'truly multifaceted'; singer recites Gurbani verse
PTC News Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh on Wednesday and called him "truly multifaceted". The two had an in-depth discussion over wide range of topics from music to yoga.
In a video posted on Instagram on New Year's Day, the Prime Minister shared snippets of their conversation. Prime Minister Modi wrote, “A great interaction with Diljit Dosanjh! He’s truly multifaceted, blending talent and tradition. We connected over music, culture and more...’

Diljit during the meeting praised PM Modi for the times when he spoke about his mother and fondly about Ganga (also revered as a mother) and how the words moved everyone, while PM Modi PM said Mr Dosanjh has lived up to his name Diljit (the winner of hearts) and won the hearts of people worldwide.
"When a boy from an Indian village makes India's name shine, it feels good. Your family named you Diljit and you keep winning over people," the PM told Dosanjh.
While concluding the meeting, Diljit also presented Prime Minister with a poster of Dil-Luminati tour of India.
This was Diljit Dosanjh's first meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Punjabi singer met PM Modi after concluding his India leg of Dil-luminati tour. The grand finale of the concert was held in Ludhiana on December 31.
