PTC News Desk: On August 23, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to travel to Ukraine and meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The prime minister has never traveled to Ukraine during the country's conflict with Russia. The visit also takes place a few days after President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Modi met in Russia. PM Modi had a meeting with Zelenskyy during the G7 Summit in Italy almost a month ago.

The Prime Minister visited Russia earlier this month, and during his visit the two nations decided to expand their collaboration in a number of areas, including shipbuilding and nuclear power.

At Putin's request, Prime Minister Narendra Modi traveled to Moscow for a two-day visit that started on July 8, 2024, in conjunction with the 22nd India-Russia Annual Summit.
