PM Modi applauds Nirmala Sitharaman's Budget 2024 for 'Viksit Bharat Budget'

PTC News Desk: Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's presentation of the Interim Budget 2024 in Parliament, hailing it as both "inclusive and innovative." Emphasising its alignment with the aspirations of a young India, PM Modi praised the government's fiscal management, highlighting the record high capital expenditure projected at Rs 11,11,111 crore while maintaining control over the fiscal deficit.

In his address to the nation, PM Modi underscored two pivotal decisions within the budget. Firstly, he announced a Rs 1 lakh crore fund dedicated to research and innovation, a move aimed at fostering progress and development. Expressing confidence in the budget's continuity, Modi asserted that it would empower all four pillars of "Viksit Bharat" – the developed India vision – encompassing the youth, the impoverished, women, and farmers.

The Prime Minister highlighted the inclusive and innovative nature of the interim budget, instilling confidence in its ability to drive the nation towards development. PM Modi emphasised that the budget sets a trajectory towards making India a developed nation by 2047, reinforcing a long-term vision for the country.
