Jharkhand aviation plight: PM Modi's aircraft hit technical snag, Rahul's plane grounded for two hours
PTC News Desk: Prime Minister Modi's aircraft experienced a technical snag at Deoghar airport in Jharkhand that resulted in delay in hi land in national capital. PM Modi will return to Delhi after fault is fixed and another plane is sent Deoghar from New Delhi.
Prime Minister was in Jharkhand where he addressed two rallies on the occasion of tribal icon Birsa Munda's anniversary which is celebrated as Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas before the state goes to polls for the second phase on November 20.
In another incident, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's plane was grounded in Jharkhand for nearly two hours after it failed to receive clearance from Air Traffic Control (ATC). He was also in Jharkhand to address a rally days before second phase of polls in the state. However the clearance was given after two hours.
The incident took place in Mahagama where Rahul Gandhi was scheduled to address a public rally. The Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha was given clearance to take off after around 2 hours.
Congress blamed BJP for the obstruction and describes it as deliberate politically motivated action. As per the reports, Rahul Gandhi's helicopter clearance was delayed due to PM Modi's poll rally in Bihar's Jamui, which restricted airspace availability in the area.
