PGI fire mishap: In a horrific and unfortunate incident, a massive fire broke out PGI's Advance Eye Centre in Chandigarh.
As per the information received, fire erupted in the basement of PGI's Advance Eye Centre in Chandigarh.
The fire, believed to have been caused by a short circuit in the basement, started at around 9 am on Monday.
As soon as the fire was noticed, Security officers, fire officers and staff members, including faculty, residents, staff nurses, and subordinate staff of PGI, swung into action to rescue and relocate patients to safer areas.
The firefighters of the Chandigarh Fire Brigade are making efforts to extinguish the fire. No casualties have been reported so far. Top officials of PGI, Chandigarh have reached the spot.
