Over 200 fall sick after drinking contaminated water at Greater Noida society
PTC News Desk: More than 200 residents of Supertech Eco Village 2 in Greater Noida West reportedly became ill on Monday as a result of contaminated water, with children being the most affected. They exhibited symptoms including vomiting and diarrhoea. Residents blame the problem on society's poorly cleaned water tanks.
Residents from four towers, specifically C-4, C-5, C-6, and C-7, complained of health problems, highlighting the issue. These towers, which comprise 20-storey buildings with over 160 flats, were contaminated most likely due to improper water tank cleaning.
According to the ToI report, residents worry that the cleaning process left toxins in the water, which caused the illnesses.
