Nuh Shobha Yatra: Security tightened in communally sensitive district; schools, banks, markets shut
Nuh Shobha Yatra: Haryana Government, led by Manohar Lal Khattar denied permission to hold the Braj Mandal Shobha Yatra in Nuh, and tightened security in Nuh district in order to maintain law and order situation of communally sensitive district.
Earlier on Sunday, Vishwa Hindu Parishad said that they will bring out a Brij Mandal Jal Abhishek Yatra on August 28, despite the authorities denied permission for the Yatra citing apprehensions of disturbance of law and order.

In order to maintain law and order situation of Nuh, Haryana Government tightened security and deployed around 1,900 police personnel and paramilitary forces at inter-state and inter-district borders for checking.
Police personnel were also deployed at the Sohna-Nuh toll plaza in Gurugram and all arrangements related to the deployment of law and order have been made.
Meanwhile, Section 144 has also been imposed in the communal-hit district and appeal has been made to the citizens to avoid any kind of movement. All the schools, markets and banks of the district are closed to restrict any movement.
Internet services have been also suspended in Haryana’s Nuh on till August 28.
"As a preventive measure, internet services have been suspended in Nuh from 12 noon on August 26 up to 11:59 pm on August 28," said an official statement.
Nuh Deputy Commissioner had on Friday written to the state’s Home Department, recommending to stop Nuh internet service and bulk messages, following which orders were issued today by the Home Secretary of Haryana to stop internet service from August 26 to August 28.
Haryana DC also ordered the temporary suspension of the mobile internet services (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, CDMA, GPRS), bulk SMS (excluding banking and mobile recharge) and all dongle services provided on mobile networks except voice calls.
Nuh administration has denied permission to the organisers of the Yatra in light of the G20 Sherpa group meeting, which is scheduled to take place in Nuh from September 3 to 7 and to maintain law and order in the aftermath of the July 31, 2023 violence.

"Even though permission has been denied to hold Jal Abhishek Yatra, there are inputs that certain organizations have invited people from Haryana and other neighbouring States to reach Nuh on August 28," DGP added.
