Patiala Peg prohibited: Notice issued to Diljit Dosanjh for song choice during Hyderabad concert
PTC News Desk: Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh is currently touring India as part of his Dil-Luminati tour. The singer's Hyderabad concert which is scheduled for November 15 (Friday) has now encountered a major roadblock as the actor has been served a notice for choosing songs for his Hyderabad concert.
A notice issued by DSW, Telangana states that Diljit Dosanjh will not be allowed to sing the song "Patiala Pag" in Hyderabad on November 15. In a notice issued by District Welfare Officer Telangana, the singer has also been asked not to sing songs like Kes and Panj Tara Theke apart from Patiala Pag song during the live show.
As per the reports, the notice has been issued on the complaint of Panditrao Dharanwar stating that children should not be used on stage, as the frequency of the noise during live shows surpasses 122 db which is extremely harmful to children
Panditrao Dharanwar, Assistant Professor, PPGC-46 has said that the Punjab and Haryana High Court has already issued directions not to sing songs promoting alcohol, drugs and gun culture during live shows. He warned further if Diljit Dosanjh doesn't comply with the directions, then he will approach honourable court.
