PTC News Desk: In Noida, Uttar Pradesh, a teenage girl fell victim to a dog attack inside the lift of a housing society, with CCTV footage capturing the harrowing incident. The girl suffered a bite on her arm during the ordeal, which quickly circulated on social media platforms.

The incident occurred within the confines of Lotus 300 Society in Noida's Sector 107, as captured by the building's internal CCTV system. The video depicts the girl standing inside the lift, only to be unexpectedly confronted by the dog as the doors open. The canine lunges towards her, resulting in a frantic struggle as she is pushed backward and subsequently bitten on the arm.

Upon the lift doors reopening, a bystander outside intervenes, shooing away the dog and preventing further harm to the girl. However, the traumatic episode leaves her visibly shaken, clutching her injured arm in pain. Despite the girl's distress, she exits the lift alone on the ground floor, her fear palpable as she wipes her tears with her t-shirt.

As of now, the housing society has not issued any official statement regarding the incident.

This disturbing event adds to the concerning trend of dog attacks in Noida, particularly within affluent neighborhoods of Gautam Buddha Nagar. Just last month, a similar incident unfolded in Ghaziabad, where a German Shepherd charged at a six-year-old girl riding her bike within her apartment complex. This incident, too, garnered widespread attention on social media platforms, sparking outrage among viewers.

In response to escalating concerns, the central government mandated in March for states to prohibit the sale and breeding of 23 aggressive dog breeds, including Pitbull Terrier, American Bulldog, Rottweiler, and Mastiffs. Additionally, individuals in possession of these breeds are required to sterilize them promptly, as outlined by the government directive.
