NEET UG paper leak case: CBI  arrested a journalist on Saturday in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, in connection with the NEET-UG paper leak case.

The journalist, Jamaluddin, works for a Hindi newspaper. He has been arrested for allegedly assisting the principal and vice principal of Oasis School, who were arrested on Friday.

According to officials, Oasis school principal Ehsanul Haque and Vice Principal Imtiaz Alam were arrested for their suspected involvement in the alleged paper leak.

According to officials, Alam was designated as the NTA's observer and centre coordinator for Oasis School, and the CBI is also questioning five more people from the district in connection with the leak.

The principal served as the Hazaribagh district coordinator for the National Testing Agency's (NTA) NEET exam on May 5.

In Gujarat, CBI teams are conducting searches for suspects in seven locations including Godhra, Kheda, Ahmedabad, and Anand.

On June 27, the CBI made its first arrest in the case as part of its investigation into alleged irregularities in the NEET exam. According to officials, two arrested Patna residents, Ashutosh Kumar and Manish Kumar, allegedly provided a location where some of those who took the exam received the leaked NEET question paper and answer keys.

The first CBI FIR was filed on June 23, a day after the education ministry announced that it would give the investigation into alleged irregularities in exam administration to the central agency.
