NEET Row: Lok Sabha adjourned till noon amid disruption over 'NEET' issue
PTC News Desk: The opposition today called for a discussion of the purported leak of the NEET-UG medical exam and other competitive, sought-after tests in the Lok Sabha. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) administration, led by the BJP, has said that it is prepared to address any inquiry regarding the exam-related issues.
Congress MP KC Venugopal filed a petition for an adjournment in the Lok Sabha this morning to discuss two rare incidences of paper leaks, NEET-UG and UGC-NET. The motion was made when the house business commenced. The National Testing Agency (NTA), which administers more than a dozen competitive national exams, is the target of criticism for alleged "failures" by the opposition.
"On the NEET paper leak case, I have been notified 22 times. Speaker Om Birla declared, "The President has already stated in paragraph 20 of her speech that there will be a fair investigation into the irregularities in NEET," and she delayed the meeting until 12 p.m.
Rahul Gandhi, a member of the Congress party, stated that politicians had to communicate from the parliament that all parties care about the nation's students, who are anxious about their future.
"Calmly discourse about the matter is in order. Mr. Gandhi stated, "The ruling alliance and the opposition should both send a common message to students from parliament."
Leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Sanjay Singh, has requested a Rajya Sabha discussion on the NEET issue.

In a "suspension of business notice," Congress MP Syed Naseer Hussain instructed the house to adjourn all business today and limit its discussion to the NEET-UG and UGC-NET dispute.
Kerala's and Tamil Nadu's chief ministers have advocated for doing away with the NEET. On June 23, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) established special teams to look into the claims of irregularities in the NTA's handling of NEET-UG and launched a criminal case.
On May 5, more than 23 lakh students took the NEET-UG exam. There were nationwide protests after an unprecedented 67 contestants received a perfect score of 720 out of 720.
