PTC News Desk: A minor NEET aspirant was allegedly sexually assaulted and blackmailed for months by two well-known teachers from a popular coaching centre in the UP's Kanpur. Police said one of the teachers was arrested a few months ago when CCTV evidence of him allegedly sexually abusing another student surfaced, giving the survivor the courage to finally file a complaint.

Both teachers have been arrested.

According to a police official, the teenager moved to Kanpur to prepare for the 2022 exam and enrolled in a coaching institution there. In January of this year, her biology teacher, Sahil Siddiqui, 32, invited her to a party at his house, which he stated was for all of his students. When the girl arrived at his flat, she found she was alone. She said that Siddiqui got her drunk, assaulted her, and recorded the incident.

The survivor told authorities that Siddiqui threatened to make the video public, harm her family, and assaulted her on several more occasions. He held her hostage at his flat for some time before forcing her to attend parties there. During one of these parties, her 39-year-old chemistry teacher, Vikas Porwal, assaulted her. The survivor was a minor at the time.

The student stated that she had gone home to visit her parents around Holi, and Siddiqui had called and asked her to return, threatening to destroy her family if she did not comply.

A video showing Siddiqui allegedly sexually abusing another student went viral, and he was released on bail. An official stated that this prompted the student to overcome her fear of him and make a police report on Thursday.

A first information report (FIR) was filed on Friday, and Siddiqui and Porwal were arrested that same night.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Abhishek Pandey stated, "The student told us she was assaulted by the accused multiple times. A case has been filed, and both men have been arrested and are being questioned. The student was a minor at the time and has asked us not to reveal too much information."
