Swearing-in ceremony for N Chandrababu Naidu: Today marked the fourth term of N Chandrababu Naidu, the leader of the TDP, as chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.

N Chandrababu Naidu sworn in as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister for fourth term, PM Modi gives TDP chief a warm hug

Chandrababu Naidu swearing-in ceremony: On Wednesday, the Telugu Desam Party chief minister, N Chandrababu Naidu, took the oath of office as Andhra Pradesh's chief minister for a fourth term. At the oath-taking event were Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Ministers JP Nadda and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, along with a number of other dignitaries.

In Kesarapalli, on the outskirts of Vijayawada, close to Gannavaram Airport, Chandrababu Naidu took the oath at approximately 11:27 a.m. In addition to Naidu, the oath was taken by Janasena president Pawan Kalyan, TDP supremo Nara Lokesh, and 22 other people.


According to reports, Pawan Kalyan has received an offer to become deputy chief minister. Three cabinet vacancies are being offered to Janasena, and one to Bharatiya Janata Party.

The chief minister is one of the 26 ministers in the cabinet who can be chosen by the 175 members of the Andhra Pradesh assembly.

Tuesday, June 11 saw the election of Naidu as leader by the Telugu Desam Legislature Party and its allies, the NDA.

Speaking to the lawmakers, Naidu declared his intention to establish Amaravati as the state's only capital.

"I am swearing in (as the CM) tomorrow, and I would like to thank you all for your assistance. "Prime Minister Narendra Modi is arriving for the swearing-in ceremony," Naidu stated, adding that he had "assured" the Union government's support in Andhra Pradesh's development.

Superstars from the South, including Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, and actor-turned-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna, were present at the Gannavaram Mandal, Kesarapalli IT Park event.

Naidu served two more terms as chief minister after taking office in 1995.

Following the state's split, he served as chief minister for three terms, the first two of which he held while leading a united Andhra Pradesh from 1995 to 2004.

After Andhra Pradesh was split in two, Naidu became its first chief minister in 2014 and remained in that position till 2019. He was the leader of the opposition until 2024 after losing the 2019 elections.

He is running for CM again for a fourth term, driving out the YSRCP, after winning the 2024 elections with a resounding victory.

In the recently finished state assembly and Lok Sabha Elections, which took place simultaneously, the NDA emerged victorious, securing 164 out of 175 assembly seats and 21 out of 25 Lok Sabha seats.
