Meerut Merchant Navy officer murder: Sahil grabbed Muskaan's hand and forced her to stab Saurabh in heart three times, say autopsy
Meerut shocker: Shocking details have emerged in the brutal murder of 29-year-old merchant navy officer Saurabh Rajput, allegedly orchestrated by his wife, Muskaan Rastogi, and her lover, Sahil Shukla. Investigations reveal a premeditated crime in which Rajput was drugged, stabbed, and later dismembered before his body was sealed inside a drum with cement.
According to police sources, on the night of March 4, Sahil pressured Muskaan to kill her husband, promising her a new life together. Initially hesitant, Muskaan was made to sit on Saurabh’s chest while Sahil demonstrated how to use the knife. When she failed to act, he grabbed her hand and forced her to stab Saurabh in the heart three times. The post-mortem report confirmed that the attack was executed with immense force, causing severe damage to his heart.
Doctors conducting the autopsy found that Rajput’s body had been brutally dismembered—his neck severed, his hands cut off at the wrists, and his legs amputated. The limbs were bent unnaturally due to rigor mortis, and the cement further damaged the remains. Experts described the crime as exceptionally gruesome.
Following the murder, Muskaan and Sahil attempted to mislead Rajput’s family by using his phone to send messages, creating an illusion that he was alive. Meanwhile, they went on a vacation to Himachal Pradesh. However, suspicions arose when Rajput remained unreachable for weeks. On March 18, the police were alerted, leading to the arrest of both suspects.
Investigators believe that the murder was pre-planned and executed with precision. The crime scene, forensic evidence, and digital footprint left behind by the accused have provided crucial leads.
Occult connection under investigation
A possible occult connection to the murder has also surfaced. Saurabh’s mother, Renu Devi, alleged that Muskaan and Sahil were involved in tantric rituals, which may have influenced their actions. Rajput’s in-laws also claimed that Sahil had manipulated Muskaan using occult beliefs and even isolated her from her six-year-old daughter.
While the police have not confirmed the role of occult practices in the murder, they stated that all possible angles are being thoroughly investigated.
Muskaan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla, both 27, have been charged with murder and destruction of evidence. The police are now working to establish a stronger case against the accused, ensuring justice for the victim.
