Massive landslide near Mandi blocks Chandigarh-Manali highway
Mandi, February 12: The Chandigarh-Manali Highway had been blocked on Sunday after a massive landslide was reported near Himachal Pradesh's Mandi district. The traffic movement was halted between Mandi and Kullu near '5 Mile' in Mandi.
There is a long line of vehicles on both sides of the landslide spot due to the road blockade.
The National Highway Authority of India has mobilised its workforce and machinery to clear the debris and boulders from the road in order to reopen the highway to traffic as soon as possible.
The police have diverted light vehicle traffic between Mandi and Kullu via the Mandi-Kataula-Kullu road.
