PTC Web Desk: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has once again invited protesting doctors for a meeting at her Kolkata residence. Scheduled for 5 pm, the discussion aims to break the deadlock between the government and the medical community over the sexual assault and murder of a doctor in Kolkata.

In a letter, the Bengal Chief Secretary urged the doctors to approach the meeting with an "open mind" at the Chief Minister's Kalighat residence. The doctors are currently holding a general body meeting to decide whether to accept the invitation.

"We trust that good sense will prevail, and as mutually agreed based on your earlier statement to the media, there will be no live streaming or videography of the meeting, given that the matter is sub judice in the Supreme Court. Instead, the minutes will be recorded and signed by both parties," the letter read.

The same delegation that participated in the previous discussions has been requested to arrive at the Chief Minister's residence by 4:45 pm.

"We hope for your positive response and anticipate a productive and meaningful discussion," the letter concluded.
