Kolkata doctor murder: CBI to conduct polygraph test of accused

Kolkata doctor murder: CBI has been granted the nod to conduct a polygraph test on Sanjay Roy, the main accused in the brutal r@pe and murder of a postgraduate trainee doctor at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.

On Saturday, the CBI conducted a psychoanalysis test on the accused Roy, who is currently in the agency's custody. The Kolkata Police detained him a day after the postgraduate trainee doctor's body was found in the seminar hall of the chest department at RG Kar Hospital between 3 and 5 a.m. on Friday.

Meanwhile, CBI grilled the medical college's ex-principal Dr Sandip Ghosh on Monday. This is the fourth day in a row he has been summoned by the investigation agency.

Taking moral responsibility for the r@pe and death of the trainee doctor, Dr. Ghosh resigned two days after the crime. However, within hours, he had taken over as head of another medical college. The Calcutta High Court invalidated the state government's move, stating that Dr Ghosh should have been the first person questioned in connection with the heinous murder.
