Karni Sena chief killing: In a major breakthrough, National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested a key suspect Ashok Meghwal, making the total tally of arrest to nine.
This comes after the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted searches at 31 places in Haryana and Rajasthan in connection with the murder of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi.
The raids launched by NIA resulted in the confiscation of a significant quantity of pistols, ammunition, and digital devices, including mobile phones, SIM cards, and DVRs. Additionally, incriminating documents pertaining to financial transactions were seized. Moreover, eight illegal weapons were also recovered from Ashok Meghwal.

It has also been reported that Ashok Meghwal was allegedly in touch with gangster Rohit Godara, associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for Gogamedi's murder.
The tragic incident to murder of Karni Sena chief unfolded on December 5 at Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi's residence in Jaipur. Gogamedi was in conversation over tea with four individuals when suddenly, amid the discussion, two of them abruptly stood up and fired multiple shots at him, leaving him critically injured and lying in a pool of blood.
Soon after the murder, gangster Rohit Godara, associated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for Gogamedi's murder.
The two shooters, Rohit Rathore and Nitin Fauji, were arrested on December 9 in Chandigarh. They informed the police that it was Godara who had ordered the murder.
The murder of Gogamedi was captured on CCTV, and the footage showed two men firing multiple shots at the Karni Sena chief, with another man standing at the door. Gogamedi was seen collapsing on the floor from the gunshot injuries and was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Gogamedi's security personnel, who was injured in the incident, also died later.
