The raid, conducted in Bellary town of Karnataka, resulted in the recovery of a staggering Rs 5.60 crore in cash, along with 3 kg of gold, 103 kg of silver jewellery, and 68 silver bars, totaling approximately Rs 7.60 crore. The operation, targeting the residence of Naresh, a local jewellery shop owner, led to the apprehension of the suspect, who is currently undergoing interrogation, as confirmed by the police authorities.

Authorities suspect potential links to hawala transactions and have initiated legal proceedings under section 98 of the Karnataka Police Act. The investigative findings will be forwarded to the Income Tax department for further scrutiny and action, as per police sources.
