Kargil Vijay Diwas: PM Modi warns Pakistan on Kargil Diwas; 'We will crush terrorism with full force'
PTC News Desk: At the Kargil War Memorial in Ladakh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lay a wreath in remembrance of the warriors who gave their lives while fighting bravely 25 years ago. Along with speaking to Veer Naris, or war widows, the prime minister is also expected to virtually launch the Shinkun La tunnel project with its first blast.
On Kargil Vijay Diwas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent a strong warning to Pakistan amid an increase in attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, declaring that India would overcome any terror challenge. In addition, the prime minister detonated the 'first blast' for the Shinkun La tunnel in Ladakh, which when finished will be the tallest at 15,800 feet.
In his speech at the Kargil War Memorial, Prime Minister Modi stated that India not only emerged victorious from the Kargil War 25 years ago, but also provided a remarkable illustration of 'truth, restraint, and strength'. Pakistan, according to Prime Minister Modi, has failed in all of its evil endeavors and is now attempting to survive by using terrorism and proxy warfare.
PM Modi stated that July 26, Kargil Vijay Diwas, was a very special day for every Indian in a post on X.

It's a day to honor everyone who defends our country. Additionally, the Shinkun La Tunnel Project will get underway. PM Modi stated that this initiative is crucial to enhancing connectivity to Leh, particularly in inclement weather.
The goal of the Shinkun La Tunnel Project is to provide all-weather access to Leh by building a 4.1-km twin-tube tunnel on the Nimu-Padum-Darcha road at an elevation of about 15,800 feet.
When it's finished, it will be the world's highest tunnel. Following a nearly three-month fight in Ladakh, the Indian Army declared the triumph of "Operation Vijay" on July 26, 1999, regaining the positions held by Pakistani infiltrators on the Indian side of the LoC in the Kargil region. The day is known as "Kargil Vijay Diwas" in remembrance of India's military triumph over Pakistan.
LEADERS PAY TRIBUTE TO BRAVEHEARTS
A number of leaders from opposing parties paid their respects to the courageous heroes who gave their lives defending Kargil against Pakistani invaders in 1999 on the occasion of the 25th Kargil Vijay Diwas.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated in a post on X that Kargil Vijay Diwas is a representation of the valor and steadfast determination of the courageous warriors in the army. The valiant soldiers in the Kargil conflict showed the utmost bravery in the impassable Himalayan highlands, forcing the enemy's army to surrender and making the nation proud by raising the tricolor once more."
