PTC News Desk: BJP MP from Mandi and actor Kangana Ranaut has sparked yet another controversy, this time with her Instagram story on Gandhi Jayanti.
Taking to Instagram, the actor posted a photo of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri who also shares his birth anniversary with Gandhi on October 2, and captioned it, "Desh ke pita nahi, Desh ke to lal hote hn."
Her remarks sparked controversy, with many seeing them as a deliberate attempt to downplay Gandhi's contributions while honouring Shastri.
Kangana's remarks come at a sensitive time, given how she's involved in a number of controversies. Kangana previously sparked controversy with her statements about farmers' protests and her calls for implementation of now-repealed farm laws.
