Jharkhand woman to break 30-year silence after opening of Ram temple
Dhanbad (Jharkhand), January 10: After an unwavering commitment and a silent dedication spanning three decades, 85-year-old Saraswati Aggarwal, a resident of Karamtand, is set to break her 30-year vow of silence at the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of the Shri Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22.
Saraswati Aggarwal embarked on this profound journey 30 years ago, driven by her unshakable faith akin to that of Shabari, welcoming Lord Shri Ram into her life. Her vow was made with a resolute pledge to contribute to the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Now, on the momentous occasion of the consecration of the temple, she will finally break her silence, uttering the cherished words 'Ram... Sitaram...'.
Having devoted most of her time to Ayodhya in reverence to Lord Ram, the Jharkand woman is brimming with joy and gratitude. She expressed, "My life has been blessed. Ramlala has summoned me to partake in the Pran Pratishtha. My penance and meditation have borne fruit. After three decades, the sanctity of my silence will be graced by the 'Ram Naam'.
In a touching gesture, the Kharkhand woman has received a special invitation from the Shri Ram Temple in Ayodhya to participate in the Pran Pratishtha ceremony, an honour that has brought immense happiness to her entire family. Accompanied by her brother, she will embark on her journey to Ayodhya on January 8, with only her being permitted to attend the auspicious ceremony.
Manish Das and Shashi Das, disciples of Mahant Nritya Gopal Das, will warmly welcome Saraswati Aggarwal upon her arrival at the Ayodhya Dham railway station. She will reside at Swamiji's Ashram, Pathar Mandir Chhoti Chhawni, for four months, where a special room has been arranged for her.
Saraswati Aggarwal's incredible journey began in May 1992 when she visited Ayodhya and received instructions from Mahant Nritya Gopal Das to circumambulate Kamtanath mountain. Her devout penance involved a rigorous routine of drinking a glass of milk daily, residing in Kalpavas for seven and a half months, and completing a 14 km circumambulation of Kamtanath mountain. Inspired by Swami Nritya Gopal Das, she embraced silence, vowing to break it only on the day of the Ram temple's consecration.
Hailing from Rajasthan, Saraswati Aggarwal arrived in Dhanbad in Jharkhand 65 years ago after marriage to Devkinandan Agarwal. Despite not attending school, she acquired literacy through her husband's guidance and diligently reads religious texts like Ram Charit Manas daily. Following her husband's demise 35 years ago, she raised eight children—four sons and four daughters. When her family learned about her silence, they warmly welcomed and supported her, standing by her side throughout this extraordinary journey.
