Jammu and Kashmir: Two terrorist killed in fresh encounter in Baramulla, search operation underway
Jammu and Kashmir: As the ongoing tensions and scare in Jammu and Kashmir entered fourth day, two terrorist has been killed in the fight between security forces and terrorists that broke out in the Uri town of Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district.
Taking to their social media handle, Kashmir Zone Police shared two series of tweets and wrote, "One more terrorist has been killed in the encounter (Total 2). Search operation in progress. Further details shall follow: J&K Police.

Another tweet says, "Encounter has started between terrorists and Army & Baramulla Police in forward area of Uri, Hathlanga in Baramulla district. Further details shall follow".

The encounter started in the Hathlanga forward area of Uri.
The Indian Army along with Jammu and Kashmir Police also resumed operations on the fourth consecutive day against terrorists "holed up" in the forest area of the Gadole in the Kokernag area of Anantnag district.
As per officials, 2-3 terrorists are believed to be engaging security forces in the hilly terrain of Anantnag district.
Sharing statement of Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar, Kashmir Zone Police posted on micro-blogging site X a day ago, "Rtd Police/Army officers should avoid “ Ambush Hypothesis”. It is a specific input based ops. Ops is in progress and all 2-3 trapped terrorists will be neutralised".
Meanwhile, a soldier who had been reported missing Thursday lost his life in the ongoing encounter, officials said on Friday. In a tragic encounter three brave officers, including two from the army and one from the police force, lost their lives in the line of duty on that fateful day. The slain senior Army officers and the DSP were identified as Colonel Manpreet Singh, Major Ashish Dhonak, and Humayun Bhat.
