PTC News Desk: Five foreign students hailing from Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, South Africa, and Sri Lanka faced a harrowing ordeal at Gujarat University when they were attacked during a late-night altercation at their hostel. The incident reportedly erupted over tensions surrounding the students' practice of offering namaz on campus.

According to reports, the students were peacefully engaged in offering namaz within their hostel rooms when a group of individuals confronted them, objecting to their religious practice and raising religious slogans.
