Instagram down: Several users across India face issue amid outage
PTC News Desk: Instagram is currently down for many users in India. The Meta-owned platform is facing major problems with many users reporting issues on Downdetector.
According to Downdetector data, more than 64% of users experienced difficulties logging into the app. 24% of users experienced server connectivity issues. The website monitors outages by collecting status reports from a variety of sources, including users.
Users took to X (previously Twitter) to share their issues about Instagram. Some users received an error message stating, "Something went wrong."
Where one user questioned whether Instagram, saying "Wait is Instagram down, I thought it was just me having internet issues?", another said, "Instagram down 8/10/2024. Life is more beautiful without Instagram."
In June, the Meta-owned app experienced a global outage. According to website outage tracking website Downdetector, over 6,500 users in India reported difficulties accessing the platform at the peak of an outage at around 12.02 p.m.
Approximately 58 percent experienced issues with the feed, 32% with the app, and 10% with the server connection.
Users in Delhi, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, and others reported problems with the app.
