India's first nasal Covid vaccine iNCOVACC go on sale; booster costs Rs 800 per dose
New Delhi, January 26: India's vaccination programme against Covid-19 virus got a further boost on Thursday with Union Minister for Health Dr Mansukh Mandaviya launching Bharat Biotech's 'iNCOVACC', the world's first Made in India nasal vaccine.
Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech had received the approval of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) for the use of heterologous booster doses of iNCOVACC. It is the world's first intranasal vaccine to get both primary series and heterologous booster approval.

The nasal vaccine has been priced at Rs 800 for private markets and Rs 325 for state governments and the Centre. It will also be available on CoWin. Two doses of the vaccine are to be given 28 days apart.
Notably, the nasal vaccine cannot be given to those who have taken a precaution or booster dose. One can book an appointment for the intranasal vaccine dose by visiting the CoWin website.
