Indian MBBS student in Kazakhstan dies of heart attack after gym workout; belonged to Alwar
PTC Web Desk: Utkarsh Sharma, a 21-year-old MBBS student from Alwar, Rajasthan, passed away in Kazakhstan after suffering a heart attack post-exercise at a gym. The tragic incident occurred on the night of March 29. Despite immediate medical attention, he could not be saved. His grieving family, including his father, has left for Kazakhstan to bring his body back to India.
Utkarsh, a resident of Kala Kuan, Vivekananda Nagar, Alwar, was pursuing his medical studies at Shymkent University, Kazakhstan. His father, Dr Shailendra Sharma, is a District Programming Officer at Alwar District TB Hospital.
According to a close family friend, the incident took place around 11 pm on March 29. Utkarsh was reportedly in good health and had received his second-semester exam results earlier that day. He had spoken with his family members, including his younger sister and his mother, just hours before his sudden death.
On the evening of March 29, Utkarsh followed his regular routine and went to the gym. Upon returning to his room, he started experiencing breathing difficulties around 9 pm. He immediately contacted a fellow Indian student from Alwar, who lived in the adjacent building. The friend rushed to his aid and took him to the hospital. Unfortunately, by the time they reached the hospital, Utkarsh had already passed away. Doctors confirmed that the cause of death was a heart attack.
Before his untimely demise, Utkarsh had spoken to his younger sister three hours prior and had also informed his mother about his financial needs. He had requested some money for purchasing clothes and other essentials.
His father was informed by Utkarsh’s friends that his condition was serious and that he had been admitted to the hospital. His father, accompanied by two family members, immediately left for Kazakhstan on March 31. Upon reaching the hospital, they came to know about his death.
