India revokes all visas for Pakistani nationals after Pahalgam terror attack
PTC Web Desk: In a significant escalation following the Pahalgam Terror Attack, the Government of India has announced the immediate suspension of all visa services for Pakistani nationals. This includes the revocation of all existing Indian visas issued to Pakistani citizens, effective from April 27, 2025, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) confirmed on Wednesday.
As part of the decisions taken by the Cabinet Committee on Security, medical visas granted to Pakistani nationals will remain valid only until April 29, 2025. All Pakistani citizens currently in India are required to leave the country before their revised visa expiry date.
The government has also issued a strong advisory to Indian citizens, urging them to avoid travelling to Pakistan. Additionally, Indian nationals currently in Pakistan are advised to return to India at the earliest opportunity.
This decision comes amid heightened tensions and a firm diplomatic stance in response to the recent cross-border terrorism incident in Jammu and Kashmir.
