PTC News Desk: An Indian Air Force chopper airdropping relief goods to flood-hit Bihar has made an emergency landing. There were four IAF personnel aboard the helicopter, including two officers and all of them were rescued.

The helicopter made a forced landing in Naya Gaon, Muzaffarpur's Aurai district, on Tuesday afternoon after taking off from Sitamarhi. After landing, a part of the helicopter was submerged in floodwaters.

Pratyaya Amrit, Principal Secretary of the Disaster Management Department, stated that the pilot's presence of mind prevented a severe accident. He stated that the engine failed, and the pilot ensured that the helicopter landed in the water.

According to Amrit, the injured have been brought to a hospital, and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) started rescue operations as soon as the crash was detected.
