Paytm FASTag FAQs | The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) made changes to its list of authorised banks for FASTag services, removing Paytm Payments Bank Ltd (PPBL) amidst regulatory scrutiny. The updated list now comprises of 32 authorised banks including payment banks, scheduled commercial banks, and small finance banks.

As per the orders, no one will be able to deposit money into your account with Paytm Payments Bank after March 15, 2024. 

What is FASTag? 

FASTag is an electronic toll collection system designed to streamline toll payments on highways, offering a more efficient and convenient way to navigate toll plazas. The FASTag is affixed to a vehicle's windscreen and linked to a bank account or prepaid card. Utilizing RFID technology, the tag facilitates seamless toll payment as a vehicle equipped with FASTag approaches the toll booth. 

How can I deactivate my Paytm FASTag? 

To deactivate your Paytm FASTag, follow these steps : 

• Close your existing account by providing your mobile number and Tag ID. 
• Simply call 1800-120-4210 and provide your registered mobile number along with your Vehicle Registration Number (VRN) or Tag ID. 
• A Paytm customer support agent will then contact you to assist with the deactivation process.

How to buy new FASTag online?

• Download the "My FASTag" app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
• Open the app and scroll down to find the "Buy FASTag" option.
• Click on the "Buy FASTag" option, which will provide links to purchase FASTag from Amazon and Flipkart.
• After purchasing FASTag from your preferred platform, you'll need to activate it. To do this, select the "Activate FASTag" option in the app. Choose either Amazon or Flipkart, then scan the QR code provided with your purchased FASTag.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the activation process.
