At least 4 were killed and many were injured after a vehicle carrying pilgrims on Manimahesh yatra fell into a ditch in Himachal Pradesh's Chamba on Wednesday.

Himachal Road Accident: 4 killed as Pathankot vehicle on Manimahesh yatra falls into ditch in Chamba

Himachal Road Accident: At least 4 were killed and many were injured after a vehicle carrying pilgrims on Manimahesh yatra fell into a ditch in Himachal Pradesh's Chamba on Wednesday.

According to preliminary information, the vehicle met an accident around 9 am on Wednesday in the Bharmour area of Chamba district. When devotees who had come to pay obeisance at the Bharmani Mata Temple heard the sound of the vehicle falling, they called the police. The police rushed to the scene and started the rescue operation, along with other devotees and locals.


Currently, the cause of the accident is unknown. 

According to reports, devotees were from Punjab's Pathankot and were on their way to the Bharmani Mata temple after paying their respects at the Chaurasi temple. The accident was reportedly caused by a landslide. There were 12 pilgrims in the Bolero camper.
