Haryana train fire: An explosion erupted on a passenger train travelling from Rohtak to Delhi on Monday, causing a fire that seriously injured four people.

The incident took place near Sampla Railway station. Following the explosion, a fire started in one of the carriages, but firefighters were able to put it out. The initial investigation shows that sulphur potash was most likely responsible for the explosion.

The train left Rohtak railway station around 4:20 PM. As it approached Sampla station, a sudden explosion in one of the coaches sparked alarm among passengers. The train was swiftly stopped, and the driver notified the stationmaster.

Local and railway police rushed to the scene to evaluate the situation. In addition to the FSL team, which collected evidence, a Delhi squad arrived at the site to conduct an investigation. The railway police also alerted the bomb disposal crew about the incident.

According to police, a passenger was carrying a huge quantity of sulphur potash in a polythene bag, which is believed to have caused the explosion. The injured people were sent to a hospital for treatment.

Because of the explosion, the train was delayed for a long time before police allowed it to continue to Delhi. Authorities have started an extensive investigation into the incident.
