Three-year-old dies after 'falling from school van' in Haryana; driver abandons injured child

PTC Web Desk: In a tragic incident reported from Palwal in Haryana, a three-year-old boy died reportedly after falling from a school van. The child, identified as Shivansh, was a student at DK Bachpan Playway School in Hasanpur.

Rather than rushing the severely injured child to the hospital, the van driver, Hari Singh, reportedly handed him over to his mother and fled the scene. Despite the mother's desperate pleas to take Shivansh to a hospital immediately, the driver ignored her. Tragically, by the time the family managed to get him to Palwal Civil Hospital, the boy had succumbed to his injuries.

According to the mother, Rekha, prompt medical attention could have saved her son’s life. She also recounted the harrowing moment when the driver knocked on their door and abandoned her injured child without offering any assistance.

The police have registered a case against the school management and the driver based on Rekha’s complaint.

The police said the driver and other responsible parties would be arrested soon. The boy’s body has been handed over to the family after a post-mortem examination.
