Gurugram: Air hostess on ventilator sexually assaulted by hospital staff, probe on
PTC News Desk: In a shocking incident, an air hostess was allegedly sexually assaulted by hospital staff in Gurugram while she was on life support, according to police.
The police said that the woman came to Gurugram for official airline training however she fell sick after a swim in the pool of a hotel she was staying in. Later she was admitted to the Gurugram hospital where the unfortunate incident unfolded.
The woman told the cops that while she was in unconscious state on ventilator, she sensed some uncomfotable touch from hospital staff. However, she could not thwart or scream owing to her critical condition.
After getting discharged from the hospital, the woman narrated the entire incident to her husband and then approach the cops to lodge a formal complaint. Based on her complaint, an FIR was registered against unidentified staff members of the hospital at the Sadar police station on Monday. The complaint has been registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) pertaining to sexual assault.
A spokesperson of the Gurugram Police said, "The victim's statement has been recorded before the magistrate in the court. The police team is examining the footage of the hospital's CCTV cameras and will soon identify the accused."
