Gold and silver prices surge ahead of Dhanteras; check rate list
Gold price today: A day before Dhanteras, on October 28, gold and silver prices saw a significant uptick. According to data from the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of 24-carat gold rose by Rs 480, reaching Rs 78,495 per 10 gm. Earlier, it stood at Rs 78,015 per 10 gm.
Silver also experienced a surge, with prices increasing by Rs 752 to Rs 96,552 per kg, up from Rs 95,800. Earlier this month, on October 23, gold hit an all-time high of Rs 78,703, and silver reached Rs 99,151.

As per experts, geopolitical tensions and the onset of the festive season are driving demand for gold, which may push prices to Rs 79,000 per 10 gm by the end of the year. Silver prices could also rise to Rs 1,00,000 per kg
