'Zigana guns, Rs 25 lakh contract': Fresh chargesheet reveals chilling details of Bishnoi gang's plan to kill Salman Khan
PTC Web Desk: A new charge sheet filed against five people accused of planning to kill Bollywood star Salman Khan has disclosed chilling details. According to the Navi Mumbai Police, the accused, who are members of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, have been charged with conspiracy to murder and other serious crimes.
On April 14, two people on motorcycles shot multiple rounds outside Salman's house in Bandra, resulting in the arrest of several people.
The charge sheet states that the Bishnoi gang had issued a contract worth Rs 25 lakh to assassinate the actor. The plan was put together between August 2023 and April 2024, a span of several months. According to investigations, the gang planned to purchase sophisticated weapons from Pakistan, such as M16 rifles, AK-47s, AK-92s, and the Turkish-made Zigana pistol, which was used to kill Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala on May 29, 2022.
The plan involved more than simply acquiring weapons; it also included a carefully planned surveillance operation. The charge sheet states that a network of around 60 to 70 people was in charge of monitoring Salman's every move. This extensive monitoring included his farmhouse in Panvel, his Mumbai residence, and even the Goregaon Film City, which he frequently travelled to for movie shoots.
The charge sheet alleges that boys under the age of 18 were recruited to carry out the assassination. These minors were reportedly waiting for orders from Goldie Brar and Anmol Bishnoi, key figures in the gang believed to be based in North America, to launch the attack.
