Food delivery app's 'India's Lost Talent' jab amid Ranveer Allahbadia vulgar remarks row

PTC News Desk: Ranveer Allahabadia's remarks which sparked massive controversy has also drawn sharp criticism from food delivery app. 


Magicpin, a food delivery app, put up a hoarding that read, "India's Lost Talent. Comedy ki limit honi chahiye par discounts ki nahi (There should be a limit to the extent of comedy, but that shouldn't be the case for discounts).

The ad had featured caricatures resembling to the panelists from India's Got Latent. Sharing the image on X, Magicpin wrote, "Can we get back the magic in comedy?" along with hashtags for "standup comedy" and "India."

The post quickly went viral and quickly got netizens talking. "This was epic," a user said, while another added, "Comedians need this type of humour!"

One user said, "Discount to definitely unlimited honi chhaiye," while another user added, "Theek hai 100% discount de dena (Okay, please provide us with 100 per cent discount)."

The row erupted after Youtuber Ranveer Allahabadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps made certain comments on Samay Raina's show India's Got Latent which received severe backlash from across the nation describing the remarks as derogatory. 

The Mumbai police has also widen its net in the row as the state cyber cell has now registered a case against not just 'BeerBiceps' but all the other guests and hosts from episode 1 to six of "India's Got Latent". The process to send notices has already been started and all the guest will be summoned to record their statement, state cyber cell said.
