Farmers protesting at borders are not farmers, says ex-Haryana CM Khattar; sparks controversy

PTC News Desk: Former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar sparked a new controversy as he made an attack on farmers, he said that those present at borders were not farmers as they were present to disrupt the system and destabilise governments.

Khattar asserted that these individuals want to harm the establishment. He was in Kaithal district to campaign for BJP candidate Kulwant Bajigar in the Guhla Assembly.

He said that people from Punjab disguised as farmers travelled to Delhi to topple the central government, stormed the Red Fort with tractors, and raised flags, but "those who did so were not farmers."

Farmers who are sitting at the Punjab-Haryana border have caused problems for commuters, and Haryana citizens are relieved that the Haryana government halted them at the border and did not allow them to go.

Khattar's remarks led to controversy, with many calling his remarks offensive and divisive. This development coincides with ongoing farmer protests and political tensions in the region.

Reacting to former CM's remarks, farmers stated that it is not the first time Khattar has attacked farmers and that he makes similar statements on a regular basis. However, the people of Haryana would teach his party a lesson in the upcoming assembly elections on October 5.
