Facebook, Instagram down! Social media flooded with reaction
PTC News Desk: Meta's Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and Messenger have all reported a global outage, according to down detector websites.
Users were unable to load apps, send messages, or refresh their search feeds on Facebook and Instagram. According to the website, more than 300,000 people reported outages on Facebook and more than 20,000 on Instagram.
Several users were logged out of their Facebook accounts and are unable to log in due to the outage.
Downdetector tracks outages by collecting status reports from a variety of sources, including user-submitted errors on its platform. The outage may have impacted a larger number of users.
Meta has yet to respond to the global outage, and it is unclear how long it will take for servers to resume normal operations.
