Eid-ul-Adha 2023: Devotees across country offer prayers on festival
Eid-ul-Adha 2023: On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha on Thursday, devotees from all over the country offered their prayers.
In Jammu and Kashmir, devotees were seen exchanging greetings after offering Eid-ul-Adha namaz.
In Rajasthan and Jaipur, large congregations of devotees offered namaz in the open ground on the auspicious day.
In Delhi, devotees congregated outside Fatehpuri Masjid in Delhi to offer prayers. Congregations of Devotees also gathered outside Delhi's Jama Masjid to offer prayers, on the occasion of Eid.
Aftering offering namaz at Panja Sharif Dargah, Kashmere Gate in the national capital, former Union Minister and BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi extended greetings on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.
Meanwhile, in Delhi, Security beefed up near Jama Masjid on the occasion of Eid ul-Adha.
In Madhya Pradesh, devotees gathered to offer prayers on the occasion of Eid ul-Adha.
In Mumbai, devotees were seen offering namaz at a dargah on the occasion of Eid ul-Adha.

The holy festival of Eid ul-Adha, also known as the 'festival of sacrifice' or Greater Eid, is celebrated on June 29 while in some countries on June 28.
It commemorates the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God's command. However, just as Ibrahim was about to sacrifice his son, God provided a ram as a substitute, symbolizing the ultimate act of devotion and mercy.
