Delhi shivers at 4°C, records coldest morning of season; cold wave alert till December 13
PTC News Desk: The national capital has recorded season's coldest morning as cold wave conditions have gripped Delhi which is freezing at 4.8 degree Celsius. With this Thursday has been recorded as coldest morning of the season.
For the first time in 14 years, the minimum temperatures in early December went below 5 degrees Celsius. According to data, the lowest minimum temperature during this period was recorded on December 6, 1987, at 4.1 degrees Celsius.
Cold wave conditions are expected to prevail in Delhi between December 11 and 13. The waves are alse expected to grip other Northern regions including Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana. A downpour of fresh snowfall was witnessed in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the IMD, the minimum temperatures in northwest regions and central India is likely to remain constant and not fluctuate over next four to five days.
In other parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh, cold wave conditions were predicted to persist until December 16
