Bomb Alert! Delhi school gets bomb threat; legal action initiated
Bomb Alert! Following the bomb threats via emails to over 150 Delhi school’s airport, the The Ministry of Home Affairs, led by Home Minister Amit Shah, Delhi University colleges in the month of May, another bomb alert caused panic among students, staff, and parents.
In a distressing turn of events, a prominent school in Delhi’s Greater Kailash area received a bomb threat earlier today, threatening to blow up the school with a bomb.
As per Delhi Police, it is written in the email that a bomb was planted in the school yesterday. Nothing has been found in the investigation so far, legal action initiated.
Principal of Summer Fields School, Shalini Agarwal said that as per the SOP, the management evacuated the students within 10 minutes of receiving the email.
"We received an email late at night which was checked early morning today. As per the SOP, we evacuated the students within 10 minutes of receiving the email. We informed the police and district administration, and we are thankful to the police - they supported us magnificently as they came immediately. There are hardly any students here, we are just waiting for a few parents to come and collect their wards," the Principal said.
She further said that police and bomb squad are present in the school and they are checking the premises.
"There was absolutely no panic amongst the parents," she added.
