New Delhi, October 12: In a dramatic turn of events near Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, the Delhi Police successfully apprehended two members of the notorious Arsh Dalla gang, averting a potentially catastrophic situation. One of the culprits had a live hand grenade, while the other had already fired at the police before being subdued.

The police swiftly intervened, and their actions prevented a major incident from occurring. The arrest was made based on a tip-off from reliable sources. A live hand grenade, a firearm, and live cartridges were recovered from their possession. The suspects now face charges under the IPC and Arms Act, and authorities are continuing their investigation.

Notably, the confrontation transpired when a police team, comprising a circle inspector and the Special Cell, intervened. Upon being instructed to surrender, one of the suspects fired at the police, while the second individual attempted to activate a live hand grenade. Swift police action prevented the situation from escalating further.

"The team intercepted the duo on the Outer Ring Road, and when they were asked to surrender, one of the suspects, identified as Krishan, fired a shot at the police team. Simultaneously, the second gang member attempted to extract a live hand grenade from his bag. However, the police team swiftly overpowered them," stated officials.
