Scindia urged airlines to maintain reasonable price levels
Last week, Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia presided over a high-level meeting convened by the airline advisory group, at which he asked airlines to self-regulate airfares and keep prices reasonable.
He stated that airlines have the ability to set airfares and that different criteria, such as market dynamics and season, are considered when determining fares.
Scindia, on the other hand, emphasised that private airlines had a social responsibility as well, and that increasing fares across sectors should be limited.
