PTC News Desk: A man has been arrested for allegedly killing and burying his two newborn daughters, according to Delhi police. Neeraj Solanki wanted a son and was disappointed with the birth of twin daughters. He has been on the run since the alleged murder on June 3. He was arrested in Haryana.

Pooja Solanki, who lives in Delhi's Sultanpuri with her husband Neeraj Solanki, gave birth to twin girls on May 30 in a Rohtak hospital.

"The accused was evading arrest in Delhi and Haryana by changing his location frequently," the police stated in an official statement. Neeraj Solanki, 32, was charged with murder after his wife filed a complaint with the police.

The police said they started investigating after getting a complaint on June 3 from the Sultanpuri police station about the "murder" of the two babies.

According to the police, the caller claimed that his brother-in-law had killed his 3-day-old twin daughter and buried them at a crematorium.

"After that, police officers were stationed at the cremation site where the children were buried, and permission was obtained from the SDM (Sub Divisional Magistrate) to exhume the bodies. On June 5, the bodies were found and preserved at a mortuary in Mangolpuri. On June 6, we performed a post-mortem. "The bodies were turned over to their maternal uncle," they stated.

A crime branch team was tasked with finding Neeraj Solanki, a Delhi University graduate who lived on rent from his properties.

The police conducted surveillance and gathered information from local sources.

The police examined call data and discovered that Neeraj Solanki was frequently changing his mobile handset, SIM cards, and hiding places to avoid the cops.

After several raids in Delhi and Haryana, Neeraj Solanki was apprehended in Sampla, Rohtak.

During interrogation, he admitted to the killings, according to authorities.
