Delhi man faces charges for forcing wife to dress as pornstars, citing porn addiction
New Delhi, July 05: A man in Delhi has been charged with the alleged offense of coercing his 30-year-old wife into watching pornographic material and dressing up like pornstars, according to the police. The woman claimed that her husband is addicted to pornography. The couple tied the knot in 2020, as confirmed by the authorities.
In addition to the accusations of forcing her to engage in explicit activities, the woman lodged a complaint stating that her husband and his family had also subjected her to dowry demands and both mental and physical harassment, revealed a senior police officer.
"On Tuesday, a case was registered based on the woman's complaint under sections 498 A (husband or relative of husband subjecting her to cruelty), 406 (criminal breach of trust), 377 (unnatural offense), and 34 (common intention) of the Indian Penal Code, along with relevant sections of the Dowry Prohibition Act," stated Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara), Rohit Meena.
Meena further added that the investigation is currently in its preliminary stages. "Statements of witnesses are being recorded, and digital and other pieces of evidence are being secured for further action in the case," he affirmed.
