Delhi-Jaipur Highway accident: Oil tanker collides with car, pickup van; 4 dead
Gurugram, November 11: Tragedy struck near Sidhrawali village in Gurugram on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway on late Friday evening as an oil tanker collided with a car and a pickup van, resulting in at least four deaths, according to the police.
Vinod Kumar, investigation officer from the Bilaspur police station, said an oil tanker, travelling from Jaipur, broke the divider and collided with a car. The car, believed to be carrying passengers bound for Jaipur, caught fire due to the CNG cylinders onboard, resulting in the death of all three passengers.
Following the collision with the car, the oil tanker also collided with a pickup van on the highway, leading to the immediate death of the van's driver. The police noted that the driver of the oil tanker fled the scene, and efforts are underway to apprehend the individual.
"We received information about the accident on the Delhi-Jaipur Highway. Upon reaching the spot, we discovered a car engulfed in flames, claiming the lives of three individuals. Subsequently, we learned that the oil tanker had collided with a pickup van, resulting in the instant death of the van's driver," stated IO Kumar.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
