PTC News Desk: The Delhi High Court on Tuesday ordered X Corp and Google Inc to remove prima facie defamatory social media posts about Indian Railway Personnel Service (IRPS) official and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla's daughter Anjali Birla.

Justice Navin Chawla also prohibited unknown parties from directly or indirectly posting, circulating, communicating, tweeting, or retweeting the allegedly defamatory content stated in Anjali Birla's defamation case.

The high court ordered the intermediaries to remove the social media posts within 24 hours, and if the complainant finds any other similar posts, she shall notify X and Google.

The high court also served notice on X, Google, the Union Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, and unknown parties on the suit, requiring them to react within four weeks.

The officer has requested that social media posts be removed that claimed she passed the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exam on her first attempt due to her father's influence.

Her lawyer stated that she took the UPSC Central Services Exam (CSE) and was selected for the 2019 consolidated reserve list. She started working for Indian Railways as an IRPS officer.
